Today I enter the MTC, in just a few short hours. Thus, this is the inaugural post on this blog, but also the only one I will make myself. My dad will be updating this regularly with family emails that I send home. Please feel free to read them and keep updated on how the mission in progressing for me, but please feel even more free to send me a letter!
I am excited and grateful for this opportunity to serve the Lord. Although I also feel nervous, I do not doubt that I can "go and do," because no matter how difficult things are I know that the Lord will provide a way. This is His work, and He will let no hand stop it - not even my inadequate hand as a worker in the field.
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is truly Christ's church on the earth today. He leads this church through his prophet, Thomas S. Monson. The Book of Mormon is the word of God, and Joseph Smith was called upon to translate it by the power of God. I know these things, and soon the people in Italy will hear them.
